An oak office desk designed by Hans Wegner for Johannes Hansen. This design was part of a complete office system that included cabinets, tables and other storage components. Constructed of a steel frame and an oak top and drawer unit, this piece is more of an international modern style and displays Wegner's versatility. The European white oak has a beautiful blond tone and is in very good condition. The drawer unit consists of three solid wood drawers with dovetail joinery which confirms the quality that went into all of Wegner and Johannes Hansen's efforts. The drawer handles are constructed of steel as well and accentuate the steel frame. The legs have feet that are adjustable in height to level the desk on uneven surfaces. This particular piece is the single right hand facing three drawer cabinet which appears to gracefully float above the ground.
