Hingelberg Rosewood & Steel Work Table

Denmark

1959

A unique rosewood work table designed by Mogens Koch. This work table was part of a interior that Koch designed for the F. Hingelberg jewelery store in Århus, Denmark. The entire interior was designed by Koch including rosewood fixtures and some of the furniture pieces and as a whole was best described as having "attention to detail". This table is comprised of a Brazilian rosewood tabletop which sits upon a black painted steel frame. "Austere" may be the word to best describe the design as it is ultra minimal and strict in it's appearance. The table is height adjustable thanks for threaded feet on each leg. It would function well as a work table, desk or even a small dining table. This unique part of Danish design history would work well in any modern work or home environment.
