An oak sofa designed by Børge Mogensen for Fredericia A/S. This is the first piece Mogensen designed for Fredericia and started a long standing partnership between the designer and manufacturer. This first sofa design was certainly a great start. Mogensen created with sofa with functionality built in. The fully upholstered frame of the sofa is standard but with use of removable double-sided cushions, it allows for easy cleaning. The high sides offer one comfort and the feeling of being enveloped in the sofa. The solid oak tapered legs gives the sofa a very light feel. This example is covered in a beautiful purple/blue coloured Danish wool weave. As with most of Mogensen's pieces, it is a simple and functional piece and would be great in any living environment.
