DESCRIPTION:
A huge long and low rosewood sideboard by Ib Kofod-Larsen for Brande Møbelindustri. Some of Kofod-Larsen's most impressive pieces are his storage solutions. He was very prolific designing cabinetry for manufacturers such as Brande, Faarup, Säffle and Christiansen & Larsen. This sideboard was part of a larger series of pieces for Brande which included many different sizes of cabinets and varying slightly in elements such as handles and legs. This piece is the largest of the series and can surely fill any storage requirement. It has three doors that conceal beech lined shelving and two doors behind which are eight solid wood finger-jointed drawers with solid rosewood fronts. The piece has a finished back making it ideal for a room divider. The top surface has a raised solid rosewood lip around the perimeter and the legs and door handles are also solid rosewood. This piece would be the focal point of any modern living space.
