DESCRIPTION:
A wonderful example of Hans Wegner's #20 sideboard/buffet combination for Ry Møbler. This piece is one of our favorite Wegner storage solutions and it was one of his most popular. It is comprised of a bottom sideboard with six drawers and a top buffet with shelves behind two sliding doors. The two separate pieces are held together with massive solid teak beams which form the structure of the piece. All of Wegner hallmark details are present including the charming drawer pulls and round recessed door handles. The interior of the piece is covered in beech and all the drawers and shelves are solid wood. In fact the entire piece is constructed with a solid wood core. The quality of construction is second to none and is a testament to the masterful methods the Danes used for constructing and mass producing furniture. The piece is in near mint condition and would be the centre piece of any modern dining setting..
