DESCRIPTION:
A rarely seen pair of storage cabinets / cupboards by Børge Mogensen for P. Lauritsen & Søn. Some of Mogensen's finest pieces were designed for and manufactured by P. Lauritsen & Søn. These two piece cabinets were part of a storage series that consisted of his now very sought after BM57 sideboard. They are very high quality, demonstrated by the material selection, custom hardware and construction methods. They are built with a solid wood core and the leg structure, door frames and banding are all solid mahogany. The insides are also lined in mahogany. The doors are held in place with custom brass hinges. They are two piece units but they are held together with heavy gauge screws from the inside making them very sturdy. The shelves are all adjustable and the vertical separators are adjustable as well making for endless shelving combinations. These pieces would be wonderful additions to any Mogensen collection or modern environment.
