DESCRIPTION:
A Finn Juhl mahogany Diplomat series sideboard for France & Søn. Towards the end of Juhl's career he designed more pieces for France & Søn including the Diplomat, Technocrat and Cresco series cabinetry. Designed for mainly office settings, some pieces of the Diplomat series found their way into Juhl's Trustee Council chambers at the United Nations building when it was first overhauled. The Diplomat series featured a few styles of cabinets and sideboards. This particular example could be used for files or just a general purpose office cabinet. We think it would be perfect for placing a flat screen tv on top and components underneath on the pass-through shelf. Juhl's signature aluminum handle pulls are used on the sliding doors. Inside you will find shelves on either side and a convenient drawer in the middle section. The backside is finished so it could be used as a room divider. This piece would be great for any modern office or living environment.
