DESCRIPTION:
A classic sofa designed by Ole Wanscher for Cado (formally France & Søn). Ole Wanscher was the Professor at the Furniture School at the Royal Academy in Copenhagen for many years and his furniture is regarded as some of the finest in Danish design. Although many of his designs were manufactured by some of Denmark's best cabinet makers and were of very high quality, this design was one of his most popular. France & Søn, and later Cado, were able to mass produce this design and retain the quality and classic feel that many of Wanscher's pieces are known for. The frame is constructed of massive pieces of solid oak timber. The joinery is fantastic and the Danish wool fabric and spring cushions make it very comfortable to sit in.
