DESCRIPTION:
A teak daybed by Hans Wegner for Getama Getsted. This very modern design constructed with teak, brass and wool, is a wonderful contrast in materials. The brass matress support bars are definitely the highlight and add a nice touch to the otherwise minimilist design. The matress is in very good condition and is wrapped in Danish wool. This particular model comes with the hard to find original backrest and rare side cushion that can be used against a wall and in a corner and transforms the piece into a sofa. Generous amounts of solid teak are used for the legs and frame. The underside reveals the solid wood frame and brass spring coils which provide support. It can be used in a variety of ways in virtually any modern environment.
