An early and rarely seen easy chair by Ole Wanscher for A.J. Iversen. This design is influenced by the English Gainsborough style chair. In typical Wanscher fashion, he has stripped all decoration and embelishment from the design leaving a minimilist version behind. The piece is upholstered in leather which is in good condition and has a nice patina. The solid mahogany frame is expertly joined by legendary cabinetmaker AJ Iversen. The style of chair is very generous in size and Wanscher's version has a spring supported sitting area allowing for a comfortable experience. This is a great early Wanscher chair and would fit well into various modern living or office environments.
