A rarely seen sofa by Ejner Larsen and Axel Bender Madsen for Næstved Møbelfabrik. We really love this piece. It's a very simple design but as with most Danish design, the beauty is in the details. The frame is constructed of solid white oak and sits atop slightly rounded oak legs. The rear of the piece is of special note. The support for the rear cushions is gorgeous and also constructed from solid oak. It almost has a Asian esthetic and is reminiscent of Hans Wegner's GE-236 design. The spring cushions have the original wool fabric and we have reconstructed the seat cushions with new foam. It is in good condition. The minimal form would look great in virtually any modern environment.
