DESCRIPTION:
An wonderful and unique bureau / cabinet of rosewood designed by Arne
Vodder as part of an office furniture series for Sibast in the 60's.
The main function of the piece lies behind the upper door that drops
to reveal a leather covered surface that is used for a writing
surface or even preparing
beverages. The upper section has an adjustable shelf and two drawers
made of solid mahogany which can be opened by small circular ports
cut out of the drawer face. This drawer module can be removed or adjusted
as well. Also inside is a small light (220V) which illuminates the
work surface. The inside is finished in a red mahogany and is in wonderful
condition. Of note are the custom steel handles on the front of the
cabinet which are also found on Vodder's desks. Also available are
five drawers that can be used for storage or stationary depending on
your choice of application. Overall this is a very unique and rarely
seen piece that would be a awesome addition to any modern setting.
