DESCRIPTION:
A pair of Majakka candleholders by Oiva Toikka for Nuutajärvi Notsö glassworks. Toikka is a master of glass and his most famous works have been his charming birds. He designed many other pieces for Nuutajärvi as well including studio pieces which are very sought after. This design came in a large and small version, these being the small version. They are handblown so no two are alike but are finished with a ground edge on the top surface. This design is a very organic shape and a pleasure to look at and hold. Fully signed on the bottom of each.
