DESCRIPTION:
A rare teak easy chair by Finn Juhl for Bovirke. This design was only one of three easy chairs Juhl designed for Bovirke. Once again, true to Juhl's style of separating the sitting area (borne) from the external frame (bearing), the seat of this chair "floats" upon the solid teak frame. This design is very sculptural and has quite substantial arms; a slight departure from some of Juhl's other designs, which have thin almost knife-like arms. The backrest and seat are one piece and add a streamlined feel to the piece. The frame is constructed of solid teak throughout and has a nice warm tone to it. The Danish wool fabric is a basic weave and is in very good original condition. A wonderful investment grade piece to add to your Finn Juhl collection or to any modern setting. .
