DESCRIPTION:
A rare set of three oak lounge chairs and ottoman/table by Hans Wegner for Getama Gedsted. This design seems to be a straight forward, minimalist piece but upon further examination one finds there is more to it. The chair reclines into three different positions thanks to it's ingenious design. The backrest is hinged using custom hardware and can be placed all the way down allowing for a totally flat surface. A hoop locks the backrest into place as well as providing the "brace" to be placed out of the way when in the flat position. When used together, the chairs can be arranged in a variety of different configurations including a three seat sofa, and a completely flat lounge area! The matching ottoman can also be used as a side table. They are super comfortable and have a very generous seating area. The construction of the pieces are out of of solid white oak. They can be purchased individually but we think they would make a great set! This piece would make a great addition to any Wegner collection or any modern setting.
