DESCRIPTION:
A rarely seen teak highback lounge chair by Hans Wegner for Getama Gedsted. This piece is typical Wegner with a minimalist but striking composition. The tapered arms are definitely a highlight and are reminiscent of Wegner's JH517 lounge chair for Johannes Hansen. The solid teak frame is gorgeous and is in very good vintage condition. Custom brass hardware is present in the fasteners near the rear of the arms. The chair is extrememly comfortable to sit in thanks to Getama's spring coils which Wegner was originally hired to design around. This chair would be a wonderful addition to your modern environment living or office setting.
