A unique and rarely seen lounge chair designed by Hans Wegner for Carl Hansen & Son. This chair was produced in low numbers because of the popularity of Wegner's CH24 "Wishbone" chair. One of Carl Hansen & Son's two factories had to be converted to produce the Wishbone and therefore ending production of the CH3. The minimalistic solid beech frame is based on the shape of a triangle, which allows for a sturdy design and also a low seat height with the rear legs being a continuation of the seat, somewhat reminiscent other Wegner louge chair designs (AP71, JH512 etc). A nice feature of this piece is the adjustable headrest which has three positions. The seat cushion sits on flag halyard supports. A unique piece that would make a wonderful addition to any Wegner collection or modern setting!
