DESCRIPTION:
A pair of rosewood easy chairs and matching side table by Illum Wikkelso for N. Eilersen. This design was orginally made as a modular seating system and could be arranged into a variety of combinations. While the chairs are somewhat common, the side table is rarely seen. This particular combination can be used in a variety of ways as illustrated in the images. The unique joint of the arms and front legs are a nice touch to the otherwise simple and minimalist form. The solid rosewood timber frames are very impressive and the grain pattern is spectacular. The frame and banding of the table is also constructed of solid rosewood and the edge profile matches arms of the chairs perfectly. This set is awesome in every way and would be a great addition to any modern setting.
