DESCRIPTION:
A solid gateleg dining table by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France & Søn. This is an impressive table for many reasons. It's construction and materials are simply awesome. Solid teak construction throughout with brass hinges and supports. The tabletop is made from solid teak planks which will last a lifetime! The teak is beautiful and has some great grain patterns, especially on the tabletop. The gateleg fuction is achieved by simply moving each leg inward allowing the sides of the tabletop to drop independently. When both side are down, it can be used as a sideboard or just for storage. When only one is down, it can be placed up against a wall and used as a server or for simply saving space. When fully open six can dine comfortably or eight in a pinch. This would be the center piece for any modern setting.
