DESCRIPTION:
A beautiful mahogany dining table by Ejner Larsen & Axel Bender Madsen for Willy Beck / Morten Olsen. Some of the most sought after pieces of Danish furniture design were conceived by this tandem. This particular piece is part of a larger group that consisted of coffee tables and desks. It was produced by both Willy Beck and in this case, Morten Olsen. The distinguishing feature of this series was the rounded inside edge of the leg/frame joint. As well, the inside corner of the legs is chamfered giving the legs a lighter appearance. Also of note are the contrasting rosewood shoes on each leg. Not only do they give the piece visual interest, they also lend durability to the legs because of the hardness of rosewood. The legs and frame are all solid mahogany which is a sign of its quality. The mahogany is a rich caramel tone. We also have the matching coffee table in stock. This piece would make a wonderful addition to any modern setting.
