DESCRIPTION:
A rare and unique folding dining table by Erik Wørts for master cabinet maker Henrik Wørts. The design of this table is ingenious. It is a simple dining table that can sit up to four people but it can also be folded flat for storage. The mechanics behind the design is what makes it unique. Two thin slats underneath the table allow the legs to be held firmly in place when down but also keeps them from opening when the table is folded up! The construction is outstanding and is what would be expected from the Wørts workshop. The legs, skirt and banding are all solid teak. The frame of the tabletop is solid wood construction. The teak is gorgeous and the table is in excellent vintage condition showing almost no wear. The table would be wonderful for smaller living spaces or as a card or small work table. A great addition to any modern setting.
