DESCRIPTION:
A round oak dining table by Børge Mogensen for Swedish firm Karl Andersson & Söner. Mogensen's Øresund series of furniture was hugely popular and for very good reason. Simple and straight forward design matched with top of the line materials and craftsmanship cemented this line in Karl Andersson's permanent collection. In fact some of the pieces from this series are still made to this day. This is the round butterfly leaf style dining table from the series which features one self-storing leaf that folds out to be inserted for expansion. The tables features massive solid white oak legs and banding as well as a solid oak and beech frame. The unique brass bolts which fasten the legs to the table are one of the hallmark elements to this series. This table would make a wonderful addition to any modern dining environment.
