DESCRIPTION:
We are proud to offer this rare drop leaf teak dining table by Børge Mogensen for Søborg Møbelfabrik. Rarely did Mogensen use steel as a featured material for his designs but with this particular piece, we see it used in the drop leaf supports. A desk and another variation of this table were also designed in this range. The combination of teak and steel makes for a striking appearance and is reminiscent of works by Jacobsen and Wegner. The table features solid teak legs which are splayed slightly providing some visual interest. When both leaves are extended using the simple but ingenious swivelling supports, there is room enought for eight to dine comfortably. The teak tabletop is in excellent condition and matches beautifully with both leaves. This rarely seen table would make a unique focal point to any modern dining environment.
