DESCRIPTION:
An amazing table by Niels Møller for J.L. Møller. The design is this piece is ingenious. At first glance it appears to be a simple round dining table but after one opens the tabletop, a butterfly leaf is revealed that flips open to allow for six people to dine comfortably. The legs are situated 45 degrees from where the table splits so when the leaf is in place, two of the legs are actually on the side and two are at the ends. The quality of this piece is unsurpased. Solid rosewood banding and legs are used in the construction as well as a solid beech frame. The rosewood is very active and has a warm reddish hue to it. The convex leg detail is a nice touch and is what sets the table apart visually. The piece is in near mint condition. This table would be a focal point of any modern dining environment.
