DESCRIPTION:
An extremely rare set of four Finn Juhl dining chairs for Bovirke. This design was made in very small numbers and is one of Juhl's most rarely seen dining chairs. They should be considered a rare and very collectable set. The design is one of Juhl's more organic dining chairs. The unique rear posts are of special note. Their extreme curve forms the basis of the design and allows for a very comfortable sitting experience. The unique floating backrest lightens the design and is reminiscent of Juhl's earlier chair designs such as the 48 and 51 chairs. It is also interesting to note that the cross brace that connects the rear posts is very similar in execution to that of the 47 chair for Niels Vodder. The oak employed in the construction is beautiful and blends nicely with the teak backrest. These seldom seen chairs would be a wonderful addition to any Juhl collection or modern dining environment.
