A stunning set of teak Danish mid-century modern dining chairs by Niels Moller for J.L. Moller. Niels Moller started the J.L. Moller factory in 1946 and it has been manufacturing furniture ever since. This particular model was first manufactured in 1959 and is as every bit modern as the day it was designed. Although very simple in its form, the sculptural backrest adds a an organic aspect to the design, and is what sets it apart from other Danish modern chairs. These early examples of this classic design are made from rich old growth teak which has a fabulous grain. The original leather has a heavy patina which only adds to their character. This amazing set would make a great addition to any modern dining environment.
